When we were offered the opportunity to record one of the most popular GA aircraft ever built, we jumped at the chance! We certainly don't want the Cessna 150's larger sibling feel left out. For one of our commissioned projects we recently recorded a Robin DR400/180R at the Stadtlohn-Vreden airport just across the Dutch border. At first glance this may appear to be yet another GA prop, but there is more to this aircraft than meets the eye. Moreover, this was our first recording session of a fixed pitch propeller aircraft with the new recording equipment. Read all about it in the full article.

In aviation we all have to start somewhere and for many pilots flying today the Cessna 150 series has helped them earn their wings. Hence we cannot think of any aircraft more suitable as the subject matter of our first detailed field recording session. Armed with hopes, dreams and recording equipment we headed out to a local airport.

Simacoustics

Born out of passion for aircraft engine noise, SimAcoustics was established in 2019 to cater to the needs of add-on developers for modern flight simulator software such as Flight Simulator X, Prepar3D and X-Plane. In 2020 we added ready made sound packages for end-users to our portfolio.

No matter the scenario, our goal is to immerse the end-user through highly authentic sound environments that push the limits of the respective sound system.
